2004 jeep liberty, 3.7 automatic. has a loud knock almost sounds like its coming from the intake, motor seems to run smooth, i dont believe it to be a rod or main. what else could it be? sometimes when i start it, i dont hear it all untill i give it a little throttle, then i becomes noticeable, and will do it even at idle.

It sounds like your AC compressor is going bad. Most vehicles also turn on the AC when in defrost mode, since the AC also acts as a dehumidifier.

Cold Night. Battery needed boost in morning. Now there is a loud knocking sound.

Once the car is running, the battery is more or less out of the picture. Knocking sound should not be the battery. There are all kinds of knocking sounds that can come from an engine, you need to provide more details or better yet, have the car towed to a mechanic.

I have 2004 jeep and back electric window will not go up. also, everytime i go over a bump in road i have a loud knocking sound in the front end.

Loud knocking may be due to a broken front sway bar end link, common problem on Grand Cherokees. Rear window not going up could be a bad window motor, switch or wiring. Those will have to be checked out to determine exactly what it is.

I have the p0306 code showing for my 2004 3.7 liter V6 Jeep Liberty. There is a loud knocking/popping associated with this misfire. I have changed all of the spark plugs and the ignition coil for...

but not one ASE mechanic i bet. they get it right.
so 306 means must misfire.
or better, weak Combustion on #6
so did your mech check compression on #6?
seems not. or vacuum for bouncing, seems not.
that knocking, did he check that first. it must NOT knock.
that knock is serious and will get worse, Id not drive it.
not me, engines are expensive why make it worse?

The code I have is P0306 Cylinder 6 misfire detected and I want to try to locate which cylinder is the sixth cylinder to troubleshoot. This is on a 2004 Jeep Liberty 3.7L

Having the same problem with my 2004 Liberty. The 6th cylinder is the farthest one from the front on the passenger side of the engine. I have a loud knock associated with the misfire and can't figure it out...have changed the plugs and the coil on the cylinder and it is still misfiring.

What is it when the motor begans to knock when you start it up on 2004 jeep liberty i wasw told it may be the timing change

It could be the engine bearings are dry, this is a dry start, cause of oil pump pressure being poor,or the rod,or main bearings, either can cause this.
