Depending on the mileage & other facters unseen I would hesitate a guess! You may have a blown head gasket, A frost plug leak, a water pump leak. Have a rad pressure test done to ascertain the leak location, but you can first check the tail pipe for antifreeze smell, if you smell it you have a head gasket problem. Also check the oil dipstick to see if you have any traces of white residue, an indication of a head gasket leak. I hope this helps & good luck!

07 camry, been overheating some please help me i am alone and need it fixed

Laurie,
If you need to keep adding water/antifreeze your car either has a leak -or there's maybe a problem with the head gasket.

Check your oil .. on the engine oil dipstick is there a creamy grey sludge? If so, that's a problem with the head gasket ..

Give a mobile mechanic a call. They're usually quite good. Don't drive a car that overheats or you will cause expensive damage.

95 Chevy caprice leaking antifreeze from what looks like a pipe under the engine.. But the serpentine belt is wet & spraying antifreeze, so wherever it's leaking from, it's hitting the serpentine belt

Your water pump has a small hole on the top and the bottom of the housing right behind the belt pulley. This is known as a weep hole and is there to let you know when the front seal has gone out of the pump and it is in need of changing. You really want to get this taken care of because on your engine the ignition system is ran off of the crank pulley and is known as "Opti-Spark" when the system gets antifreeze in it it usually goes bad. The Opti-Spark distributor sits right underneath the water pump, so a leaking water pump soon will take out your distributor which is another added expense.

Cannot find antifreeze leaking on my 2004 volvo s60

Check your oil on the dipstick. It it looks creamy, then antifreeze is leaking into the engine. Another problem may be a high pressure leak when the engine is running and the antifreeze is hot (boiling out). Probably time to see a mechanic if you are adding so often.

Should you add additional water to a 50 50 antifreeze mix ? My son it is ok but now my car is over heating

A 50/50 mix is a ideal. Antifreeze has two benefits when properly mixed. It protects the coolant from freezing down to -40 degrees Fahrenheit and it helps remove heat from the engine. Diluted coolant in the short term is not harmful. Long term it could lead to the accelerated corrosion of vital cooling system components. Anti freeze also offers lubrication to the water pump. Less concentration will equal less lubrication. If your son is adding water than there is a leak. Adding water until the leak is fixed is fine as long as the temps don't get below freezing and the problem is addressed as soon as possible.

02 chevy malibu pushes antifreeze out of resivour but dosent get hot any thoughts?

If it doesn't over heat it's very possible that there is just too much coolant, so if it's leaking from the overflow there is no problem as that's what it's designed to do

Antifreeze leaking inside the car

Service engine soon is an engine code not likely related to the leaking heater core. I can almost guarantee your heater core has developed a leak. Bars Leak is recommended from the factory for Jaguars, and might accidentally stop the leak, The only other solution is heater coild replacement, The coil is not expensive, but the labot to install it is. The light indicates a malfunction in engine controls and emissions. Any auto parts store will be glad to run the codes for you, with the codes I can help yuo find a solution to the light issue also. ! Good Luck and I hope this helps!

Antifreeze pipe burst & ANTIFREEZE IS ALL OVER THE ENGINE

you may have antifreeze in your electrics, in some cases it can turn acidic. and cause electrical faults, if you have a leak and it goes everywhere you need to flush the hole area with water to clean it off, it can even remove paint is some cases depending on the type you have put in the water system. all your wiring will need to be check and cleaned, remove battery when doing this. as you dont want to short out the battery with water.
