Take the bolt off holding the kick stand on. Then put the spring on. Now you have the needed leverage to once again line up the kick stand back into position to put the bolt back in.
There is a hole for one end of the spring on the kick stand and another hole on the frame. Simply stretch the spring until you get it back on. Do this with the bike sitting on the kickstand, kickstand extended. Be careful and don't let the bike fall on you. The spring is very strong and can be tough to get back on. If the spring has been overstretched, purchase a new one. They're not expensive.

SOURCE: the spring on the kickstand
Have someone hold your bike up straight while you operate the kick stand. Find the point at which the spring has the least amount of stretch to it. Hook the spring on the frame and use a spring hook or a pair of side cut pliers to stretch the spring onto the kickstand at this point. If the spring hook on the frame is held on by bolts, you can loosen the bolts but don't take the completely off to shorten the stretch. That's the way I've always done it. Just make certain you get the correct spring.
Good Luck

Have a friend hold bike up for you with the kickstand in,attach spring to kicks stand, and with a pair of needlenose pliers stretch the spring to attach to the loop on the frame
