My 2007 suzuki sx4 clutch goes down to the floor and will not engage, and I see that the clutch fluid is dry. put fluid in but still does not work. I worked fine yesterday, what can we do to fix it? do we need to repair the whole clutch or just the slave cylinder?

Which 0f the 5 ENGINES?
Gas, 1.5,1.6. 1.6 diesel turbo., 1.9 DT and 2.0 gas.????
what country?

all car ran fine yesterday, only now counts.
the clutch slave actuator system is bad.
its just 2 parts, a master cylinder and the slave.
most times the slave fails first.
the fluid leaks out
then the MC goes dry
putting the DOT-3/4 fluid back dont fix that, in 2 ways.
1: the fuild will just leak out again, slave seals are bad.
2: and you most bleed the system, just like brakes. or it will never work.
the FSM book covers all this. in the clutch chapter. need that?
the factory service manual
suzuki wants near $400 now for these parts. a total freakn RIP.
so use rockauto to get the parts, or NAPA auto.

if flush with cash , replace both MC and slave
it not look at the fire wall, see that MC, is either side of fire wall
at MC shows signs of fluid leaks, Bingo it's bad.
ok replace the slave.

i spun the wheel of fortune , and landed in 2.0L Gas engine
and found the bad news. this motor uses a coaxial. slave cylinder.
the engine must be separated from the trans, to get to it.
replace the master cylinder first and pray it's not mr. Coax
the silly suzuki online store has no photos of this engine or trans.
just words, pathetic, as per suzuki usual.

here is the online FSM.
$4 to look, read the clutch section.

Why did I fail emission test on 2009 Suzuki Sport SX4 because of Oxygen sensor?

O2 sensor allows ECM to fine tune fuel/air mixture going into the engine.
No O2 sensor will put ECM into "closed loop" mode and use a lot more fuel.

The clutch does not engage, goes down to the floor

You have leak in the system, either the master cylinder, the slave cylinder, or the line itself.

Once the component that is leaking is found, it needs to be replaced or rebuilt, the system filled and bled to get the air out.

Clutch pedal goes almost to the floor before it engages

If your fluid was low (which is why you likely added some,) you may need to "bleed" your clutch master cylinder.

What does it mean when the clutch petal goes all the way to the floor in my 2003 suzuki aerio

Your clutch fluid reservoir may need brake fluid-yes, it uses brake fluid as a hydraulic fluid. Check reservoir on the firewall. It will sit beside the brake master cylinder. The reservoir sits atop the clutch master cylinder.
If it was dry, the clutch may need bleeding down at the slave cylinder on the transmission housing-where the clutch fork sticks out of the transaxle.. Open the bleed valve on the slave cylinder, and have someone slowly press clutch down. Keep bleeding until a steady stream of fluid comes out when clutch is pressed. Then close bleed valve, check clutch operation-pedal should have some pressure on it now.
