SOURCE: fuel lines mixed up

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Perhaps the best approach would be to reference a service manual available here as a free download. Scroll down to Suzuki GS750.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: the guy i bought this bike from was an idiot the

Small bore pipe from inlet side of no 2 carb goes to the small bore pipe on the petrol tap (this is the vacume swich pipe)
Large bore reinforced pipe goes from the large pipe on the petrol tap to the (hidden and bugger to get at) connector that points up (on the airbox side) between no's 2 & 3 carbs on the airbox
A large bore pipe goes from the rear facing connector on top of the centre cover on top of the cam cover (located under the frame beneath the petrol tank) to the connectot on the air box (this is the breather pipe)
Ensure that all pipes are hole/split free, secured with clips and that each inlet mainfold rubber (between the carb and cylinder block) has it's vacume plug fitted (located at the bottom of each rubber)

Hi Michael: here you have two diagrams...

11_7_2011_10_28_45_pm.gif

DTC P0440 code indicates that a part of the EVAP control system is no longer fuctioning correctly. The EVAP system consists of many parts, including (but not limited to) the gas cap, fuel lines, carbon canister, purge valve, and other hoses. The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine.
A code P0440 could mean one or more of the following has happened:
  • The gas cap is not installed or working properly
  • The purge solenoid has failed
  • The canister is plugged and not working properly
Additional details could find in this links Fault Codes on Cars & Trucks or other diagrams in Cars & Trucks Vacuum Diagram.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

I have a vw golf gl 3/98 auto that dies when you put it in gear to take off. I have had the airflow meter re-calibrated and flow tested fuel pressure is ok. You have to press on the accelerator alittle...

there should be two tags either on the core support under the hood right around the radiator cap one will be the emmisions standards which will have the smog component locations and vacum lines diagramed and the other usually has the belt installation diagram one or both of these will say what size the motor is usually in really small print depending on the maker.
almost all automatic transmission shift by the use of vacum. if you have a broken ,loose ,or disconnected vacum line that is bleeding off vacum when it shouldnt be. then when you ingauge the vacum cylider on the transmission and have the brake pedal depressed the vacum is being depleted to the point that proper air fuel ratios are not being attained and the car dies. vacum is a very necassary part of the volumetric efficency of your motor and is required in order for the motor to run. check the vacum lines for splitting cracking and being disconnected. exspecially around the regular service points oil filler cap trans dip stick ect. this is where you'll usually find one to be damaged or dislodged.

Vacume hubs i am looking for the air leak need vacume diagram for a 05 f150 supercrew

IF this is a case that the IWEs will not disengage, it could be the IWE solenoid or the vacuum lines to the IWEs. Could also be a problem with the vent lines from the IWE ( the other vacuum line that runs up into the engine compartment, and just hangs there ).

This is the block diagram of the vacuum lines for the IWE ( not actual routing ). You can use a vacuum pump / gauge to see if the lines will hold vacuum. Don't be surprised if the vacuum lines test OK, there is a TSB on the IWE solenoid where it could ingest water, and allow water in the lines, which will not keep the IWE gears disengaged.

Need fuel and vacuum line info

there should only 2 lines from the fuel tap, one for fuel, and the other for vacume, the smaller diameter hose is the vacume, and the larger hose is fuel. fuel hose will go to carby, and the vacume hose to the carby inlet manifold.

Problem passsing the etest

What engine do u have?? 2.0 litre?

Most probably ur problem lies in the catalytic converter, which is part of the exhaust system.

Could also be leaky injectors which would cause the car to run too rich.

Fuel return line can't be blocked off, wouldn't make sense.
