Problems with electronic speedometer 2004 hd fatboy

The electronic speedometer that deregulated and will only forward, not back the hands of its beginning.
Only when it binds to and is in the key position of accessories is that the speedometer back to starting position.
I wonder if the problem is just replaced by another or if the sensor problem is because all other controls are working.

SOURCE: Electrical Problem

It sounds like your ingition switch has failed. This is fairly common if you have a key fop that flaps in the wind. Pretty eash to switch them out. A HD switch is about $60.00 I got an after market that was $20.00.

SOURCE: when I ride my 2000 fatboy my speedometer doesn't

Try inside the tach on the connector. But also remove your speed sensor on the transmission and clean it. They pick up metal chips from the trans and short out. Also, HD had a bunch of bad speedos around your year. They replaced them for free. Doubtful they will replace yours at this late date. You might end up buying a new speedo.

2004 Fatboy Oil Tank Change Out

I have an '04 Fatboy and work in a dealership. Swapping the oil tank is not fun! There is very little clearance for tools and your hands! If you decide to try it yourself, get a service manual. It will make the job a little easier, with the steps you need to take to remove the tank. Or, get a service manual and read how to do it and decide if you want to tackle this job yourself.

How do I get my backseat off my fatboy lo?

You didn't say what year model your Fatboy was but the earlier models had a large socket head bolt on either side of the seat. If your seat has the original hand strap across it, take the bolts out, pull the seat to the rear until the nose tongue under the nose of the seat disengages from the frame, lift the nose of the seat up and slide it forward out from underneath the strap.

Good Luck
