Suzuki dr350 electric problems

Just another quick question for you as your answer to my previous question was ace! i also have a suzuki dr350 se (2000 model) and recently tried to jump start the bike, to which the electrics completely stopped working, like when u put the key in none of the lights come on. tried changing the battery for a new one but to no joy, could the bike be short circuited and will it be the fuse that has blown to stop the rest of the elctric parts from not working or is it something much worse?? would be really greatfull for your reply.

cheers dan

Have you checked the main fuse at the start relay? Did you jump the battery with the correct polarity on the leads?

I had the same problem. It was a blown fuse located right in front of the battery.

1991 Suzuki DR 350 S oil flow diagram

I Think the DR gets oil to the rockers using an external line. Look for 3/16 line with banjo style fitting on the head or rocker box. the bolt for banjo fitting is hollow. Do not accidently install a standard bolt at banjo fitting . And do not over tighten Hollow bolts in banjo fittings.

'95 dr350 with milky looking oil in the frame where oil is added! air cooled so it can't be a head gasket. what gives?

The oil has been worked too hard.
Replace oil immediately otherwise your engine will fail.
Also replace filter.
Use a quality oil and make sure you check it regularly.
