Yes - and there is a fuse for just those items. The other possible cause is a bad starter button. When you push the start button, it does two things: activates the electric starter - and cuts power to the headlight until the button is released. So, if it isn't the fuse, it's probably the start button.

Faulty unit, remove and return to place of purchase for a replacment, take care when mounting the amplifyer unit as this can become very hot and sometimes earth out to the unit

The altenator combined with regulator should keep the engine running without a battery. It may run a bit lumpy but it should run.
You have either a regulator or an alternator fault.

02 954 wont start.it did before i took off headlight and seats. i used to hear the fuel pump when i turn the ignition but now its silent. did i unhook something they may have caused this? plese help

When you turn on the ignition any of the electric come on lights panel lights etc?
Recheck you connections
check your fuses to see if by chance you shorted something out.

Bike wont start unless the headlight fuse is removed

Check the ignition switch.  The headlight power runs through the ignition switch, and this turns off the headlight when the starter is engaged, which provides full battery power to the starter without the load from the headlight.  If there is damage to the starter button, it may be shorting out and causing the problem.
