Slave cylinder problems and boring a weep hole

personnaly I would replace cylinder with new OEM

Most likely the slave cylinder is leaking. When a master cylinder leaks it usually wets the back of the clutch pedal and then disappears into the carpet.

Slave cylinder seals usually last almost indefinitely and when they fail it is usually due to fluid contamination, especially corrosion-causing moisture roughening the cylinder bore, though a long period working in the same range of movement can create a wear ridge in the bore. Replacing the clutch probably forced the cylinder into a new range of movement and the seal didn't like the wear ridge.

Replacing the master cylinder would probably pay dividends over the longer term...

dear friend-the spring and valve came from the back where the bolt goes in . it is a compensating valve.you put it back valve first then spring or you can leave it out.it makes no differense

check the line from the reservoir to the transmission for leaks, unfortunately its most likely the slave cylinder in the bell housing. Look under the bell housing of the transmission for any brake fluid at the weep hole as that would be your indicator of the slave cylinder leaking.

This is not a bleeder hole, this is a weep hole like in a water pump to see when there is seepage past the seals.

Bench bleed the system. With the master cyl. line and slave cyl assembled, place the master cylinder in a vise, fill the master cyllinder. actuate the slave cylinder back and forth lower than the master cyl. This will allow the air to escape upwards back into and out of the master cyl.
Once bled the system can be installed.
