Is the clutch cable adjusted correctly, you may need to adjust the cable so that the clutch is released more fully, there will be an adjuster on either end of the clutch cable - adjust it so that the cable is tighter - but there should be a little bit of play left in the clutch - if this does not cure the problem you could have some gearbox damage,
The bike is still under warranty so take it to a harley dealers and have them look at it.

SOURCE: capacity of primary oil on a 01 dyna wideglide

Three quarts. Check the oil level with the bike on the side stand. The dipstick has two marks on it. The top mark is "Full Hot" and the lower mark is "Full Cold". Maintain the oil level between the two lines. Do not overfill.

How do I check the transmission fluid 2001 harley dyna low roder

Remove the fill plug/dipstick, seat it in on the threads and read the amount on the dipstick. NOW Harley have changed it to a reading fully threaded in but it does not change that much so I BELIEVE EITHER IS OKAY.

Do u check trany on side stand r upright on 2001 dyna wide glide

Check the oil level in the transmission with the bike standing as straight up as safely possible. Don't let it fall over. The oil level should be between the two marks on the dipstick. Your transmission holds 20-24 ounces of oil. Check the engine oil with the bike on the sidestand and keep the oil level between the two marks on the stick. Avoid "topping off" the oil tank. As long as the level is between the two lines, it's fine.

How do i fill my transmission fluid on my 2004 dyna wide glide

I will walk you thru it from the manual. The transmission filler plug/dipstick location : DYNA Models is located under the battery box and just above the exhaust top pipe on the right side of the scooter. The dipstick/filler plug should be a shiny chrome allen headed looking bolt. When the dipstick/filler plug has been removed there is an F above a triangle toward the top if fluid is a the F it is full and the towards the bottom of the stick there is a another triangle and an A this means you need to add fluid if fluid level is at the A triangle marker. Oh, Tranny fluid specs are 32 OZS. I recommend using ONLY Genuine Harley Davidson Fluids.

If you need to drain or change the fluid please let me know I will walk you through step by step. Also if you need to know about the primary or engine lube specs please let me know as I have the manual sitting right here in front of me to assist you in any way I can.

I REALLY REALLY Hope this assisted you and will be more than happy to assist further step by step if you need it.
