Car wont stay running and i thought it was feul pump or fuel filter. i replaced both and it still wont run. it will crank sometimes but cuts right off like its not getting fuel, at least thats what i was told. then i checked spark plugs and the first had oil in the hole where the plug goes. i was told that is a value cover gasket leaking and was wondering if that could make it stop running? it ran hot awhile back but not too hot and when i filled it back up with water it hasnt ran hot again. i think that heated a bad spot on the inner part of the gasket

Not value cover gasket leak out around spark plug not to inside piston. but cut right off how hot? no water in oil? or filled up piston? maybe head crack. fuel pump pumping? crack line not went eng hot. ture key on look or someone look 10lb of pressure comeing out fast.water no. antifreeze yes.

Geo wont start after running dry

Hello, I would replace the fuel filter. Sometimes the sediment gets sucked up by the fuel pump when run out of gas and clogs the fuel filter. Good luck.

Cranks but wont start

Someone will need to check the circuit at the pump to see if it is getting power from the relay. If it is the pump should be running when you first turn the key on.
You can also check for power at the pump relay.

My fiat uno 1993 model,Cuts out and struggles to get petrol through,I have replaced the feul filter.

Just check,

fuel pipe
fuel pump ,fuses, wiring
if mpfi engine, check the injectors.
spray some fuel line cleaners into fuel line, pcv, air filter

'90 Grand Am ,cuts out sometimes ,while droving,re-starts most of the time,but sometimes dont.Other times,while sitting a day ,wont starrt at all,although,engin cranks good

Sounds like you have a fuel flow problem. Replace the fuel filter and check the fuel pump pressure.

I would suspect the fuel pump or bad gas if it seemed to run good on the flats and downhill but then cuts out going up a sizeable hill.
