I would be VERY worried about the gears falling out. That is NOT supposed to happen. What happened to the nut on the end of the crankshaft??? When replacing the gears, is the crankshaft balancer now out of time? Did the cam chain jump time? The "red hott" is probably an air leak between the carb and the cylinder. As for what to do, I suggest a dealer look at it and do the repairs. This is a safety issue. The last thing you want is for the engine to lock up causing the bike to go one direction and you going in another direction with your face leading the way. took side cover off to - tombones49_287.gif

How to repair reverse gear on1993to1996 saturn transmissions(automatic)

This tip might work on other year transmissions I have only tried it on 1993 to1996 saturns. If your transmission gives out try this.Jack up front end of saturn and put on jack stannds.Pull drivers side front wheel.Pull off plastic cover exposes the side of tranny. remove carter pin and nut holding tie rod end.Remove lower control arm carter pin and nut from lower control arm.Take large screw driver and pry loose lower control arm from strut mount.Loosen brake line holder bolt from fire wall.Make sure everthing is clear from the side of tranny for removel.Loosen bolts all the way arround the side cover then loosen two bolts in the middle of cover and slowly remove cover, make sure you have drain pan underneath to catch fluid leaks out, hopefully you wont tear gasket and wont have to replace it.as you pull cover off there is two tubes that attach to the inside or the cover one on the left will come out with cover one on the right will stay inside because you removed the two center bolts from cover. There wlill be two gears. The one on left has a nut in the center. It is a 23mm thin wall socket. I didnt have one so I took a short 23mm socket, half inch drive and stuck an extension inside it and took to grinder to make thinner. tighten down with impact and put back in reverse order.Fill fluid and start and check, im sure you will have reverse. Its easy.Good luck

I changed my valve cover gasket. and now my car won't start

Remove the cover and try to start without it. When starts then check on the cover maybe you put it wrong way. Or not straight. When still won't start might be something fell inside.

I can kick start my 1979 rm80 suzuki but when I go to shift gears it kicks out and stops running what could be wrong with it?

Hey Michelle,,
This is something that will have to be looked into.. Sounds like the clutch may not be working.. it won't engage/disengage..(the clutch plates are stuck together - a common thing when older bikes sit for a while!!).. this will require the right side cover to be removed, the clutch cover plate removed, the clutch plates(fiber and metal) to be removed, then cleaned, oiled and everything re-installed in reverse order..with a new side cover gasket..

You MIGHT be able to put the bike in gear.. then try to push it (engine not running) with the clutch lever pulled in and get the clutch plates to break loose (seen this work a couple times)..
You SHOULD be able to push the bike(engine not running) in gear with the clutch lever pulled in!!!

Please rate as helpful.. thanks!

When starting it runs normal but go put it in gear it stops running i thought it might be fuel filter stop up or plugs so i change both and plugs look like they was dipped in oil is that normal

if the oil is on the top side of the plugs, it likely you have bad valve cover gaskets. if on the bottom .thats another story, it could be numerous things. check the valve cover gaskets.

How hard is it to fix gasket on rear pumpkin

Iasume you mean the rear carrier. Its not hard at all youhave to drain it eighter take the lower plug out or just remove all of the bolts going around it but be sure you can get the plug that is midway up on it out because thats were you have to refill it. Check to see if the vent hose that comes out the top of the houseing is clear it has to breath or your seals will start to leak. Clean the old gasket off make sure there are on dents in the rim seal that touches the gasket put the new gasket on with some sealer to hold in place a good way is to seal the gasket to the cover then put 4 of the bolts through the gasket to hold it in place and of corse the surfaces can't have any oil on eighter side of the seal .Then put the cover back on snug the bolts then finish torque the bolts in a criss cross pattern side to side so it tighten done evenly to 18 ft lbs don't try to over tighten the gasket will seal it. Then you need to refill it check your oweners manual but most will take 80 90 weight gear oil fill it through the plug thats midway up on the houseing until the oil starts to flow out the plug thats full.

Samsung ML 2510 printer won't feed paper

I have experienced the same problem . . . a little earlier this evening. I took all the inner components out, took apart the toner cartridge, I thought that the gearing was very hard to turn on it and on the inside of printer, paper feeding etc... and that is wear the loud noise is coming from. Out of desparation, I shook it to hear if anything internally was loose and there was and still is, I would not say its the best solution or by any means a permanent but you may be able to dislodge the debris from the gearing and be able to print. After it was dislodged from my printers gearing it has worked again. Though I believe it's temporary. I am looking for a guide or how-to on opening the printer casing to physically remove the debris. If you know of a guide let me know and I am sure it would help you too.
