Check the idle metering circuit and idle control on carb.

two ways to try.go to the local auto store.get a vacuum brake bleeder.the next way can be time consuming.open the master cyl .make sure its full.open the bleed screw and wait for it to gravitate down.don't let it run empty.keep fluid in reservoir at all time.

Then you have a master cylinder that is bad it will not hold the pressure. Change it out. Check when you pull the brake handle and look to see if there bubbles come up most likely it the master cyclinder.

I'm not into motorcycles... but from my experience with cars... note the following.... brake fluid is hydroscopic (it absorbs water). I would drain the brake reservoir... put in new fluid and bleed the brakes to remove any air (which can and would be compressed) in the system. I hope this helps.

Hi,Yes, you can test the coil. Remove your plug cable and do test your coil spark on bike ( like frame and engine) while starting your engine. A good coil should has blue spark.Note : Please be carefully while conducting this test. I suggest you to using hand glove and Plier 1000 Volts.Regards

It's electrical problem, it seems like something is draining your bike's battery, not letting enough current to go to starter for a strong engine cranking, I suspect there might be a short circuit within the ignition switch and/or wiring, as you said the bike keeps running even with the key out.

Ya know what I had the same problem and I changed the clutch discs and plates ,problem still persisted.
Replaced the master cyl piston and such ,problem still persists.Took apart the slave cyl and now ordered the kit for that and noticed that the clave cyl had a film of dirt and rubber on the side wall I think that this comes from lack of service mainly changing of fluids.The brakes ,front and back are next for me.
Remember to be patient when bleeding air.Try opening the resivoir cap pull clutch handle ,tie it off and walk away for 2 days .worked for me after a test of my patients for 3 daysm

How's the choke setting?
Technically it sounds your chokes are not working properly. Check it out.

Check the voltage regulator, its supposed to turn AC (from Stator) to DC and send it to the battery and system. I am Still not !00% on the reverse field to the frame, Start solenoid acts as diode.There may be a fuse not in the fuse box. If all else fails to solve it isolate and test each wire in the harness for short and resistance as well as continuity,I Know this sucks being some are inside the handle bars.Sorry but i gotta ask,are you sure about the direction of key for park light and start?
