I just bought a 2007

When you next change the oil, use a new sump plug washer, it shouldnt leak.
Hopefully the previous owner hasnt overtighted and damaged the thread. Even if he has its not the end of the world , as there are thread inserts that will fix this.

Cannot adjust the clock on the dials.I don't know

It involves the use of the two buttons in the middle of the "Meter Instruments", between the speedometer and that tachometer.

The call the top button "Mode" and the bottom button "Reset", but I'll just use "top" and "bottom" here.

To set the clock time:

  1. Press and hold both buttons for 2 seconds, until you see the language selection screen
  2. Press the top button to select English
  3. Press the top button 3 times on the next screen to get to "Clock"
  4. Press and hold the top button for 2 seconds until the time starts flashing
  5. Press the bottom button once, so the hour setting will flash by itself
  6. Press the top button repeatedly to advance the hour setting to the proper hour
  7. Press the bottom button once, so that the minutes setting will flash by itself
  8. Press the top button repeatedly to advance the minutes setting to the proper time
  9. Press the bottom button to store the time setting
  10. Press and hold both buttons for 2 seconds to return to your normal display

Steering head split while riding 2006 zx14 model,

The ZX14 is not subject to such a failure without some type of instigation. I have repaired many ZX14 that have been in accidents and the forks appear to be stronger than the steering head. This means that the steering head area will bend / break before the forks will. The most common cause for broken steering head is the Wheelie. When the bike comes back down from the wheelie it has very high impact on the steering head. I would suggest a new frame as repairing a broken steering head can be very dangerous.

Thanks and I hope that this helps.

How do you get access to battery on 2006 kawasaki

You heed to remove the front seat and fuel tank cover. The access cover for the battery is on the right side of the bike just beneath the fuel tank cover. There are 5 - 8mm bolts that must be removed to access the battery. Some people leave the top 8 mm bolt out when re-assembling so your dont have to remove the fuel tank cover next time.

At 3500 rpm my throttle

There is a electrical connection on the secondaries of the fuel system. Try unplugging this connector. And see if the bike runs normal then.

Why is ethanol bad for

In some motorcycles the ethanol will slowly dissolve carburetor components. It can also cause pre-ignition (pinging)in some models. Most motorcycle manuals do not recommend more than 5% ethanol or 5% methanol be mixed in the gas for those reasons (maybe more?)

How do you cahrge the battery on a kawasaki zx14

What you would do is take the seat off, usually you have a key lock under the seat. Then what you wanna do is take off the positive battery cable off the battery and hook up a battery charger. If you don't have a battery charger take the battery completely out and take it to autozone or what ever auto dealer you have near by, and they will charge the battery for no charge. Finally you take your battery and put the terminals back on make sure you have the cables on right, also what ever you do don't charge the battery while its hooked up to the bike. If this was useful information plz rate me. Thank you.
