We have a Subaru Legacy GT, Twin Turbo 93, the car cut out and will not start, no fault codes, replaced spark plugs, fuel filter, checked the fuel pump, replaced air flow meter, engine temperature sensor, fuel. Engine will start if one spark plug (drivers side) is taken out and run roughly with the passenger side cylinders firing ok and getting hot. After replacing right hand spark plug engine will start if rev'd will keep running as though in limp mode, will not tick over, cuts out and will not start again

I'm sure it's not the fuel pump as I have two and one is a high pressure unit. Tried it with two different air flow meters also tried connected but not in the suction line. Check sparks and all look good. Dont have a fuel pressure guage. Have a spare engine with all sensors on. Tried the map sensor unplugged and didn't work.

Try to change the ignition coil and if still not working then try the computer box or ECU

Sounds like your timing may be off, or have a crank shaft postion sensor failing, when it cuts are you losing spark completely? do you have a fuel pressue gauge? whats the pressure? also you could try running it with the map sensor unplugged and see if the condition improves

Subaru legacy boost

It sounds like a lack of fuel to the injectors. check the fuel manifold pressure and the regulator. run fault codes to check for faulty sensors.

get the car scanned to find the code. many autoparts stores will scan the car for you or you can buy the bluetooth tool that connects to a phone or tablet that has bluetooth. i suspect your spark plugs might be the issue.

I have a Subaru Legacy B4 Twin Turbo 2.0ltr. It

indicates several problems
first is that the scan tool has not got the right protocols for reading the Subaru ECM as there are fuel mixture faults recorded
next check the vacuum hose to the turbo vane actuators and that the vanes are free to move
next check for loose interchanger hoses and holes in the intercooler

One of my turbos is blown i think its the one that kicks in first i have subaru legacy gt twin turbo 93 where is this turbo located

hi the first turbo is located on the drivers side of the motor, you will have to pull of the intercooler and some sheilds to get at it but it is managable if you have the patience and its also a common problem

Fault code 45- how do i repair it?

The code 45 in a later model is for the AWD control module causing harsh shifts. On a 2000 model the warranty per recall is 8 years and 100,000 miles. For your model you can try calling a dealer about recalls.

Sounds like the timing is lost, go get your engine timed, change plugs and check the continuity on the spark plug cables, also have it scanned for errors on the sensors, that should lead you straigh to the real issue, hope this helps ;-)
