Need torque specs for bolts on head of my 2002 honda civic ex v-tech 1.7 engine. just fixed them about a week ago and have to fix them again

The origin of the leak may be oil spilled form the Valve cover gasket job. With a warm, not hot engine, spray with degreaser and hose off the oil and cleaner. Leave to dry. Run car for a couple of days and check again.

Yes replacing the gasket should fix it as long as it isn't warped. Civics tend to get thrashed by young drivers, so you may need to get the head skimmed at a machine shop.

Tighten the cylinder head bolts to their final torque specification in two steps. Use a crisscross sequence starting with the bolts at the middle of the head and working toward the outer bolts.

1. Step 1: Tighten each bolt to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm).
   
2. Step 2: Tighten each bolt to 61 ft. lbs. (85 Nm).

CRANK SHAFT PULLEY BOLT TORQUE IS 83 FT LBS. MAIN BEARINGS TORQUE IS 48 FT LBS ROD BEARINGS TORQUE 23 FT LBS. YOU NEED A BEARING SEQUENCE GET PIECE OF PAPER WRITE NUMBERS 9 5 1 3 7 AND UNDER THIS NUMBER LINE NUMBERS UP ON EACH OTHER WRITE DOWN NUMBERS 8 6 2 4 10 YOU HAVE 10 CRANKSHAFT MAIN BEARING BOLTS. WHEN YOU LINE UP BOTH NUMBERS YOU WILL START TIGHTEN BOLTS 1 AND 2 TIGHTEN BOLTS 3 AND 4 TIGHTEN BOLTS 5 AND 6 TIGHTEN BOLTS 7 AND 8 TIGHTEN BOLTS 9 AND 10 YOU ARE TIGHTEN BOLTS IN A CRISS CROSS PATTERN. BESURE TO POUR OIL OR LUBRICATE CRANKSHAFT AND BEARINGS WITH CLEAN ENGINE OIL.WHEN YOU TORQUE MAIN BEARINGS TORQUE ALL THEM TO 20 FT LBS AND SECOND PASS TORQUE ALL BOLTS TO FINAL TORQUE 48 FT LBS. IF YOU RUN TO ANY PROBLEMS. YOU CAN BUY A HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL IT CAN HELP YOU.

The Head bolts are located below the cams, so you have to take the cams out to get to the bolts.
The torque specs for the head bolts in sequence is 20, 40, then end at 63ft lbs. Be sure to apply anti sieze or dip the head bolts in oil, before you torque them down or you might pull out the threads. (Not a good thing TRUST ME!)

Dont forget to apply clean engine oil to the threads of each bolt for proper torquing. Then finger tighten. Then

1. Step 1: Tighten each bolt to 14 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).

3. Step 3: Tighten each bolt to 49 ft. lbs. (67 Nm).
4. Step 4: Retighten only the 2 center bolts to 49 ft. lbs. (67 Nm).

its a three step process 1st 29ft/lbs 2nd 51ft/lbs 3rd 72.3ft/lbs
