Do the front marker/park lights work if not you could have a bad light switch on the tail light side of the switch.you need to check the brown wire at the back of the truck in the wiring harness as this is the tail light wire that feeds the bulbs.if you have power there then you will have to check for power at the socket,if no power at the socket but were you check the wire then there is a problem between the two that you will have to check out.if there is no power when checking the wire then you will have to check for lose of power between the switch and rear wiring.make sure the fuse is good by using a test light and not by looking as sometimes they look good but don`t work.

Testimonial: "Thanks a million!!! problem solved, just a simple loose connection at switched saved me $$$$ from taking it to the shop. thanks for the info!!"

No turn signals, brake lights. have tails lights. all fuses in fuse box under check out ok

The turn signals and the brake lights go through the hazard switch. Try cycling it a few times and see if that solves the problem. If the fuses are good and the 4way's don't work, I would suspect that switch.

I have a 2000 chevy 2500 and the tail lights, tag lights and brake lights have stopped working, I checked the bulbs and they are good, fuses are good. Have not replaced the brake relay under the hood. Do I...

check for power at the wires going intop the tail lights, real common that the circuit board is bad, but unlikely both at the same time. The tag, tail lights and brakes are 2 different systems. Do the turn signals work normally? if so the wiring from the turn signal switch to the brake lights is GOOD. the stop light switch had\s a ORANGE wire that should have 12V if not ck STOP LPS fuse, when brake pedal is depressed, the WHITE wire is 12V (at the stop light switch) if that is OK, the turn signal switch COULD be bad. The wiring harness plug is near the back left under the tailgate, see if that is disconnected?

1993 GMC Sierra 4x4, no brake lights, no rear running lights

If you still have this problem maybe this will help. I had to replace the trailer plug on a 93 GMC Sierra K1500 and had a problem with the light's not working. Had to trace wires from trailer plug up to tail lights. The problem was a broken ground wire. It took longer to remove all the tape and replace it than fixing the problem.
