The rotten egg smell if it is coming from the exhaust is a very good sign that you catalytic converter has failed or is failing. but a bad or battery that is being overcharged can also make a rotten egg like smell.

2002 sunfire no power to fuel pump ,fuses and relays are fine what could it be???

rotten egg smell is hydrogen sulfide from catalytic converter not burning all hydrocarbons and or poor air fuel mixture., you may have to trace out power wire lead that it is getting power to fuel pump, as well as ground wire that control pump. when you say relays are good do you hear them activate when you turn key on , switch relay out with knowen good one .,you can try a little starting fluid if it runs on that you know all other electrical is performing well , then back to plan A . Car runs ok, but gets hot and rotten egg smell comes out of the exhaust

If car runs okay with egg smell, its normal and working the way it should, if car is running poorly and the rotten egg smell has gotten worse, its a sign that your exhaust catalytic converter will need to be replaced. good luck!

I think my optispark is going out but not for sure. The car will start up but will not allow WOT it will cut out or die then is hard to start back. The service engine light will stay on until it sets for...

That rotten egg smell is unburnt fuel in the exhaust. I am no expert in ignition systems but i have heard that optispark systems aren't very hardy. Try replacing the coils, wires, and plugs. If that doesn't work its time for a new distributor.

Rotten egg smell after new plugs and wires seems to miss now

did he gap the plugs properly? sulfur smell comes from excess fuel being dumped into the exhaust (catalytic converter). Could be the coil, or improperly gapped plugs. If the wires were out of order, there would be a misfire.

Exhaust smell

What does it smell like? If it smells like rotten eggs that is a tell-tale sign that your catalytic convertor is bad.
