The fuse you are looking for is in the instrument panel fuse box located inside the vehicle. It's a little different between the hatchback and the sedan but the panels are in the same location. Below i gave you a picture of the location for both of them. If you have the hatchback, the fuse you are looking for wil be marked "LTR" and if you have the sedan it will be the one marked cigar (see layout of fuses below for both below). This should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you don't and would like a copy, You can email me at [email protected] with your make model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. Penny dropped into the cigarette lighter of my 2008 saturn astra. I got the penny out, but the cigarette lighter doesn't work
hi,

there must have been a weak connection somewhere in the line.
use a volt meter to trace from the lighter to the fuse box.
I have also seen the wire connection go bad during a short in the back of the fuse box itself where the wire goes in.
follow the 12 volts and you will find your problem.

Check your fuse panel for a 20amp fuse. Fuse #38 is for the cigarette lighter.. Fuse #33 is a 20amp for the auxiliary power outlet.. Good Luck!

I pulled fuse 4 from the inside fuse box on the passenger side dashboard, but quickly realized it is for the rear power outlet, not the cigarette lighter outlet. The cigarette lighter outlet is fuse number 6. They are both blue 15A fuses.

sometimes while operating the lighter, the fuse gets burnt.

please check for the current line first.

also check for the fuse in the box.
and then look for the lighter too as it may also get misfunctioned.

Once you remove the console to get to it there should be a bracket holing it in place. Undo wire and remove. Once you get to the inside you can't miss it.
