Unplug the cable behind the cd stack box and plug it back in and see if that helps. It worked for me. I get this problem once in a while and this always helped.

Let me tell you what the user manual suggests, just incase if the above solution doesnt work. ERR6 represents the error as "SLED". (god should know what it is) The description of this error is "ALTHOUGH SLED INTO THE MOST INNER CIRCLE IS MOVED, THERE IS NOT SIGNALS CONFIRMED". Am sorry if you dont understand the description. There is no grammer nor vocabulary mistakes. I posted what exactly is given in the manual.

My radio/ 6 disc CD player.

Both. Check the power line that is supposed to power the clock and memory circuits when you turn off the ignition.

And your player has lost the ability of the laser to focus on the disc - hence the error message.

Re-setting of cd changer

A couple of different possibilities here but this is a typical problem when it comes to the MB cd changers. Before ruling the cd changer bad, check the spring settings on the sides of the changer. Make sure they are in the 'H' position since it sits in the glovebox. The Mercedes cd changers don't have a reset button. 95% of the time its the cd changer that is bad when this scenario happens. Its caused by a linkage that gets knocked out of place internally of the cd changer. Also try not to use burned or homemade cd's as they can also cause the cd changer not to read the discs anymore. If your cd changer is brand new or a factory rebuild then the dealer should change it out no problem since MB cd changers are known for this problem. Also the version coding needs to done to configure the D2B fiber optic ring properly.

DEPENDS ON THE MODEL OF THE RADIO, IT APPEARS TO BE THAT IT IS A FACTORY FAULT THAT CAN ONLY BE SOLVED BY SENDING BACK TO MANUFACTURER

Cd stuck in my indash changer

you can try disconnecting the battery for 10 min. to reset the system. If that dosent work then you will need to send the radio into a repair shop to have them manually remove the cd and repair the changer. (the changers are very fragle and break inside) you can send it directly to alpine to be repaired.their number is 1-800-421-2284 ex 860304

CD changer reading "CD ERRor"

reset your radio by unplugging your battery for an hour and plug it in to see what happens. if not then time to replace. these cd players look nice and all cuz they are 6 disc but dont read mp3 well and get stuck easily with thicker cds

Hard to start 2004 sonata

Hi have a nice day!
Check EVAP Emission Control System Vent Circuit.

DESCRIPTION The evaporative system prevents hydrocarbon (HC) vapors from the fuel tank escaping into the atmosphere where they would form photochemical smog. Gasoline vapors are collected in the charcoal canister. The Canister Close Valve (CCV) closes off the air inlet to the canister for leak detection of the evaporative emission system. The CCV also prevents fuel vapors from escaping from the canister. When the engine purges HC vapors from canister, the clean air comes into the canister through canister air-filter and CCV. If open error message displayed is "P0447" If shorted error message is "P0448"
