Where is the number 2 cyllinder located on a 2003 mitsubishi galant v6? Service light is on, had auto zone get a code and they said he was likely a plug. But if it were under the manifold, it would cost a lot of money to replace.

This video may help ... the sensor is underneath the timing belt cover so it is a bit involved to get to ....

this could be anything from a losse petrol cap, to a loose vaccuum line, or a fault with a sensor...or womething else...very hard to diagnose without the error code number...which the engine computer logs when the light comes on......you need to take the vewhilce to a mechanic, or auto-zone on the us who will read the codes for you...this will give you the directioin to which will find the answer
It's probably not the spark plug. I would check the coil and injector. these two are the main cause of a single cylinder misfire. ps if the car is running fine now(not missing out) I would have the code erased and wait to see if it came back on.
You can take it to most any auto parts store, Auto zone, Checkers, Napa, and Murray's and they will scan the computer for fault code/s and clear them for free. Bring the codes back here and we will be more than happy to help diagnose/resolve the problem.
They are often under the dash since they are happier in a human-friendly ambient temperature.
The part number will likely appear on a tag and if there is any mention of 'revisions' you have found the right number.
I recommend to all to spend the ~$25 for a Haynes service manual which will answer many questions and allow you to access the amount of labor involved in a repair.
2003 Galant Manual
Auto parts stores carry these and are often a few bucks cheaper.
it mearns that the computer is sensing a failure. You will need to see if it has logged any codes, and troubleshoot from there. You can go to many auto parts suppliers (autozone, ect) and many will read the codes for you, or you can purchase code reader and do it yourself
