2002 Cadillac Escalade - was driving home from store when all of a sudden it seemed like I was running out of gas. Tank was 1/4 full. I filled it up. I was careful not to drive full acceleration so I could get home safely. SERVICE ENGINE SOON light came on. Car was NOT overheating or anything like that. No leaks either. No Car is 130K miles has a perfect service record, I change oil every 3000 miles. Also noticed secondary info control panel was no longer in english, looked foreign.

if it truly set code for "loose fuel cap" or po455 large leak, then tightening the cap and driving a couple days should reset on its own. if not then get it checked for free at autozone and report back with code # and can help from there. they'll ck for free but are not allowed to reset.

1. Turn the ignition key to the RUN position.
2. Press the INFO button on the Driver Information Center (DIC) button to display ENGINE OIL LIFE.
3. Fully push and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. If the CHANGE OIL SOON light flashes 2 times, the system is reset. However if the light comes on and stays on for 5 seconds, the system did not reset. Repeat the he procedure if the system does not reset.
4. Turn the ignition OFF.

i had the same problem u need to take off and clean the throttle body and it clears right up

check belt and check p/s fluid if ok pump is probably bad with truck running you should be abel to see the fluid flowing threw th reservior when running
