Possibly just a low coolant level, check to make sure its not low and the condition (doesn't look oil-slicked or anything).

its a lot of work to get the cylinder head off before you replace the gasket and when the head is off,you will need to have it skimmed or it will blow the gasket again. you will also have to set your engine timing at rebuild so unless your a wiz with cars see a garage. Could cost you anthing over 1600 dollars

Is this the only problem? How did you check the fuses?

check coolant temp sensor located at driver side end of cyl head. remove sensor and check or cracks. also check connector for corrosion. if cracked, go to dealer for replacment. they eill sell you a new designed metal sensor to replace your cracked plastic one. dont buy aftermarket, they will not be accurate. cracked sensor will cause eng. to run rich. may start ok cold but not when hot.
