I have a 2003 v6 mustang convertible. I want to replace the stereo face for usb ,mp3 compatibility its the 6 disc cd player mach speakers but doesnt say mach 1000 or 460 is it standard ,can i put any kind of stereo in there to work with the speakers, please help me if you have any info

Yes! You can either check the wiring and rewire the new 6 cd player to suit or purchase an adaptor cable that converts from 1 disk cd to 6 disc cd player from the manufacturer!

I had this problem in my 05 GT at about 50K miles, and had to get the stereo replaced. (It was covered by my extended warranty.) They have to send the old unit back to the factory to get the CDs out but will get them back to you when in a week or 2.

Have you check the mute mode, maybe it is in mute mode.

Check at stereo sales/install place, or most auto parts stores have them now, and ask for adapter for wiring & plate for mounting in what ever vehicle you decide. It makes things a lot neater, & easier. Take player in with you to make sure, mounting plate is correct.

You will have to go to Best Buy, or whatever your nearest audio installation place is, and request wiring harnesses for the type of radio you are putting in, and also the type of vehicle, I believe you can put any aftermarket stereo in any vehicle, as long as it fits in the dashboard. Hope it helps.

reset your radio by unplugging your battery for an hour and plug it in to see what happens. if not then time to replace. these cd players look nice and all cuz they are 6 disc but dont read mp3 well and get stuck easily with thicker cds

disconnect battery for 5 minutes that should reset the cd player

My CD player jammed while testing it during my test drive (2001 GT), and they offered to replace it.

I found out that all of them do it. When I eject my disc, and it jams. If you look into the slot, you can see the cd. It is just not quite aligned right. Use your fingers to tap (as hard as you can) on the front of the deck. It should knock the cd loose, and it will come out. Works every time for me. Don't wait for the error to come up, as soon as you notice it didn't come out, do it, and it should eject just fine.
