limited information generic answer so a yr ago you didnt go back to whoever when a/c failed after compressor replacement should have went back since their would have been some kind of warranty on work --you most likely have a leak again didnt specify how not working I.E. not turning on -no power -going on /off--on but not cold-noisy---check fuse and relay have pressure checked - and if using a dealer get a different one
the blinking indicates a/c didnt engage / not working the roar can be the clutch went bad or bearings went ==which more than likely will need a replacement
Could be a lot of things ... could be something as simple as a piece of dirt or leaf in front of the mass air flow sensor. This will give the computer false readings causing it to adjust the fuel mixture causing the car to run rough.

my experience is it might need new plugs and wires. iv worked on these cars for bout ten years and have run into that problem lots of times. we use them for taxi cabs
