I am working on the drivers door window of a 1994 Corvette C4 coupe. Having dufficulty lining window in the closed position. Front of glass rides up in the up position. There is no adjustment to counter this action. Is there something I'm missing that should prevent this? By the way, new window guides have been installed.

If the window is skewing front to back or vice versa on the way up, the window is dragging on one of the guides - window is too tight or loose in the guides or a window channel in the door is not aligned properly. Resistance at both the front and back of the window in the channels as the window moves up has to be pretty much exactly the same.

SOURCE: trying to locate fuel pump relay for 1991 corvette- coupe

The fuel pump relay in the 1991 corvette is located under the IP on the pass side.
Open pass door, unscrew two screws under the glovebox (you will be upside down in the car), take off the fuse panel, unscrew third screw to plastic plate underneath glovebox, pull away carpet (velcro), pull down plastic plate (watch out for the wiring to the lamp), then under the glovebox you will find a number of fuses and relays if you dive in under there DEEP, prob 4 or 5 in a row, not really sure wich one, but one in the middle is the fuel relay, and they are the same (interchangable).
Take a look at --the12volt.com/relays/relays.asp--
It´s those relays we are talking about.

SOURCE: no heat

I bet its the Heat / AC control unit....the slider that goes from hot to cold is probably broken, I replaced mine 2 times already in my 94 and need another

The slider has a wire that pulls a lever to open from hot to cold, its plastic and breaks inside, its on the top right back corner of it....to get to it you must remove the arm rest top pad only , then the covering for the shift, there are 2 screws in the arm rest to remove shift cover, then you have to remove the facecover for the heat control unit ...

When you remove the shift covering there is a little plastic cover inside with a noch that marks where the shift goes to Park, Drive, Neutral you will see or hear it move just replace it so you know what gear your in when its put back together

My C4 Corvette wont allow the heater or the A/C to come on. I replaced the control panel and everything on it works. Temp, blower etc: All fuses check out as OK. What's next in line to check?

Edward,

C4 Corvettes have an Outside Air Temperature sensor which may be faulty. It senses air temp in front of the car and tells the climate control unit (which controls the heat/ac) what the temp outside is. Yours is in front of the grill. It's a $20 part. It looks like the attached link. I'm not sure if this is your issue, but it was on my son's car. I just thought it might give you a direction to check.

Fix for the door glass,2009 CHALLENGER. Won't reset to down position when opening door to allow window to break seal. Then move up and seal glass when door is closed. SMart Glass?

This may be as simple as relearning the window stop positions. Perform the following procedure to relearn the windows;

1) Sit in the drivers seat and ensure both doors are fully closed.
2) Turn the key to the ON position but do not start the vehicle.
3) Pull up on the drivers window switch until the window reaches the full up position, then CONTINUE HOLDING THE SWITCH UP for 2-5 seconds, then release the switch.
4) Push down on the drivers window switch until the window fully opens, then CONTINUE HOLDING THE SWITCH DOWN for 2-5 seconds, then release the switch.
5) Repeat steps 1-4 for the passenger window.
6) Close both windows and check the operation of the smart glass.

Let me know if you need further help.

Fix power window 2000 honda accord

new window regulator probably. theres an electric motor that has a gear that rides along a curved piece of metal with teeth on it, thats how it raises/lowers the window and the teeth at the end are probably worn. I believe only the coupes use the gear driven setup and the sedans use cables, but I am not 100% sure of that fact, but I do know for sure that the coupes use the gear driven setup.

My drivers side window on my 1994 ford Taurus is stuck in the down position. how do i get it to go up and down again? the window motor is working ok. just that the window will not move

If the motor is working but the glass is not moving something must have broke inside the door. See if you can sneak a piece of duct tape down along side the glass, get it down as far as possible. Use a butter knife or something to make the tape stick to the glass, now try pulling the glass up with the tape. You may want run the window motor at the same time maybe it will catch. If you get the window up, tape it with duct tape so you can get it to a shop to get it fixed. Good luck.
