Will a alternator from a 1999 accent fit a 2002 accent

check. the fuel pup relay and engine coolant temperature sensor or check electrical connectors of all components...

check the wirring and you will find your issue if not it may be in the computer

What exactly is the problem? Is it not charging? Does the battery/alternator light stay on when engine is running? Poor connections can cause no charging, so check all battery, alternator, and starter connections. Make sure all are clean and tight. If still no help, have the alternator tested while on the car and running.

One place to look is the alternator. There are diodes in the alternator that occasionally short out to ground. Take off the hot wire on the alternator and retest amperage draw. No fuse in that circuit.

Yes it will, but you need to make sure that the engine and transmission bolt patterns are the same. The drive axles might not fight the splines of the '99 front splindels. The lenghts of the drive axles might be different as well. Other than that you should be able to replace it.
