Hello, Sorry, back again. I am speaking of a 2004 Mercedes E270 Avantgarde Yesterday I could not driver faster than 60 km/h and the pedal was empty. That continued for that day. It also showed the icon of the engine at the window. Today it was back to normal again. Nevertheless I checked it with a computer. But I am worried if that happens again. Grateful an answer to [email protected] Thank you

How do i reset the abs and esp light on an Mercedes e270 chi from 2004

You can reset all lights by disconnecting the negative lead to your battery for about 30 seconds. This will reset them but if the problem is not fixed they will come back on in about 50 miles.

2004 Mazda MPV makes loud sound when driving faster than about 60 km/hr

There is no way to estimate cost until you know the exact case of the noise. See the dealer for a test drive so a tech can listen to it.

Hello! The Pedal Value Sensor (PVS), a device that sends gas pedal positioning to the Electronic Control Module (ECM) is the most likely intermittent component...It is located under the hood...Drivers side...Next to the brake booster...The Throttle cable connects to it...It has a 5 wire plug with the following wire colors...Brown/White...Violet/Yellow...Violet/Green...Brown/Yellow...And Blue/Brown...
Check the connector for loose, frayed, or broken wires...Radio Shack sells a product called DeOxit...Cost $15...It is a "no touch" electronic contact cleaner...Two spray cans...Pull connector and spray Cleaner into both female/male ends...Wait 10 seconds and re-connect...If the problem continues replace the sensor...

Where can I find engine oil dipstick on mercedes E270 CDI year 2004

These cars don't have a dipstick (really!). Using the steering wheel controls you can get to a page on the computer output (middle of speedo) that will give you an indication of oil level. Sorry I don't recall exactly which page it is, but the manual explains - I'm sure you can google it. If you do a normal journey (so the engine is up to temp) and then park on a level surface and wait a few minutes you get the true reading from this function. If you ask me it's all too clever for it's own good...

2004 E270 CDI Battery light visit workshop

I had the same problem in me 2004 cdi e270. Check the voltage going to the battery when the car engine is on. Stedy charge of 12v should be going in to the battery, if the voltage is volitale say between 11v to 14v then it your Regulator (which is attached to the backend of the alternator). You need to change alternator and then unplug all the batteries over night and re plug them back again. The problem should go away.

How to tackle transmission oil change on '97 Mercedes E200

Hello, Check the kickdown switch that is located on the floor below accelerator pedal. Pull the carpet back under the pedal and you will see a black switch with a 2 pin connector. Disconnect the switch and see if this helps. If it does help, your kickdown switch is stuck in the down position and needs replacement. This will cause it not to shift until you are at a high RPM.
If you find this information to be correct would you please enter a "fixya" rating.
