I have a 4.7L V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo and I have resently started hearing a rubbing hi pitched sound coming the transfer case. It has over 180 thousand miles on it which is most likely the reason for the noise. Its a model 247 quad track ll, I was told that I may need it replaced but is there some way I can replace possible parts within the transfer case and do know what might be cause of the sound.
