I disconnected the battery and still nothing.
HI, I'm reading your problem,
Let me explain something about your car.
2005 Ford Taurus, The key on that car has Chip inside of the key and receiver on the ignition switch,
Check if the key you are trying to use is Black and has a plastic head.
If not you need a key with that characteristics.
But if you have the right key, Remenber if you had drop on the floor, or hit with something,
Because some times they come damaged, with insignificat thins.
Remenber if you left the key close to a magnets like speakers.
If nothing aply at your case, you need to call a place Aloha Smith, they have the computer to program or reprogarm your key. IF not you can't start your car.
OK.. I hope this information work for you.
Thank's for submit yous question on fixya.com
Ok. If you have 2 keys for the car.
And 2 remote control.
I guess the problem is not the Anti theft.
Because when the anti theft is activated the dome lights and cluster they don't blink. Only the Anti theft light.
But let me ask you,
Your car has After market alarm?.
IF yes what kind of alarm is?
If the alarm is Clifford, you have a personal code?
(( If yes, you have 3 options, 1 Put your personal code, 2 remove the alarm, 3 see an alarm especialist shop.))
If you have any other alarm, and no personal code if is clifford.
Even if you don't know, if the car has aftermarket alarm.
1--- Try to locate the valet switch, normally is around the instrument panel or fuse box.
Some times is Push botton or On and Off botton.
If you found it.
2-- Be sure the Battery is full charged.
3-- turn the key to on or run position.
4--Push the valet switch one time ( move to on or off)
5-- See if the dome light and the other lights stop flashing.
6 -- Try to start the car.
OK. IF you can find the the valet switch.
1-- Be sure the battery is full charged,
2 -- Turn the key to on position or run position.
3-- Put down the driver door window. Leave the key on run.
4 -- Disconnect the Battery for a least 1 minute.
5 -- Connect the battery,
6-- Go try to start the vehicle.
OK. Let me know what happen ...................
Thank's

I had the same problem but for some reason it started to work. I would like to know if the theft system can be turned off. In addition, will the same key work without it and can a second key without the chip be used. Thanks

98 oldsmobile cutless theft light keeps coming on. wont let car start got new key from dealer & still didnt fix it.
the car will not start or lock now have changed battery but makes no difference
installed new battery do i have to recode immobilizer to make it work
theft light blinking car wont start also not able to use obd port it has power
When i tried to start the car yesterday the key turned the ignition but it wouldnt start although there was power. And it worked after that and it started this morning, but when I went to start again this morning it won't start.
I am trying to program the lock after I put I and p keys I am keep getting blinking red light
theft light blinks all the time except when key is on
car wont start
my car is not equipped with this system -car will start but quickly stops
There is a blinking red light in my keyless remote fob. It blinks only when I am sitting in the car with the keyless remote fob. So far, the car works fine and nothing seems to be affected.
Is this due to the keyless battery dying? What are the other possibilities??
