A haynes manual from a parts place will show you--or chec the condition of each plug wire-if one looks bad or falls apart--probly need to get all new wires /plugs

My 2000 f150 throughts a code . missfire cyl 1&6 but ive replaced every thing i can think of. would a exagost leek cause it to missfire? or a cloged cat

misfires can come from faulty injectors, low fuel pressure in the manifold. timing , blocked exhaust. faulty o2 sensor, leaking inlet manifold gaskets, faulty valves (burnt) It is not always plugs and leads. Have a fault code reading done.

My check engine light come up w/ all these code P0305,P0440,P0441,P0446 what's wrong Thanks

po305 is related to missfire on #5 cylinder
po440 is related to fuel tank pressure
pO441 is for evaporator purge flow malfunction
po446 relates to vent control valve electrical circuit malfunction

missfire is seperate from the other codes
as for the other three codes replace the vent control valve solenoid located near the charcoal canister the oth3er codes can relate to a faulty solenoid

after replacing light will only go out if you clear through a scan tool or three drive cycles of over 10 min each

2000 Ford mustang GT 4.6 keeps eating ignition coils for cyl. # 5 & 8 every few months

That is normal
Not likely #5 & #8 all the time. Don't go by codes you get. Walk a new coil, until you find bad one

1999 f250 5.4 cyl 5 missfire code i took to dealer they replaced computer coil plugs and boots and ran compression test cyl balalance test however it still is not fixed help

If you got a PO305 Code Replace COP Coil #5
You don't need a dealer
You will be doing a lot of them,as time goes by.

I get so frustrated with this dealer thing.
I have a Lincoln LS, that is by far the most complicated vehicle ford ever dreamed up.
I have done 2 coils this year,at $59.00 each.
Some people on this site, are up to $5000.00 at the dealer, and not had one issue repaired yet.

If the misfire is real bad ,you may have to walk the new coil from one cylinder to the next until you get the offender. In that senerio, the PO 300 Codes won't always work.

Let me know how your doing. Please do your own work. Your dealer proved to you, they can't help you.
