The crank sensor is located in the transmission bell housing on the lower passenger side where the trans bolts to the engine almost right above the right axle shaft. One 10 mm bolt holds the sensor in place. It's not too terribly difficult to change. This pertains to the 3.5l engine.

I hope this helps! :)

My 1999 LHS is not shifting up,it seems to be stuck in 1st. The speedometer isn't working also. The fluid is full and it starts and runs fine.I only have reverse and low gear.

Trans could be stuck in limp in mood, may just need to replace the speed sensor, or diagnose the no speedo problem.. Trans relies on speed sensor info to shift

I have a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus. My car was acting up and the check engine light came on. I took it to autozone and they gave me these codes. P0700 and P0725. I was told that the speed sensor is at fault. Is...

code p 0700 is then TCM( transmission control module code p 0725 is the engine rpm input--circuit malfunction=== causes --wiring--CKP (Crank position )/ rpm sensor--ECM ---TCM--
depending on how your car is acting up will depend on if it is the TCM or the crank position sensor

Several tries before engine will crank

first check your battery and battery cables may be the the starter solenoid is not recieving enough power to close the contacts to close the circuit for the motor to energiz . then check starter motor
