1995 Honda accord does not start when car sit for a while

means there are fault codes to be read from the ECU

hard to start fuel or spark issue


when was it last serviced

I had the same problem with my 95 accord, your vehicle speed sensor is going bad, the part new is like 100 bucks, you could possibly find one at a junkyard, I had to buy one new, the sensor itself will sit on the passenger side, under the intake hose, its a pain to get to if you have large hands. But it is something that you definitely need replaced

on the drivers side sit in the seat and with your left foot kick to the left that wall / area under the dash from the door, to the floor, to the firewall is referred to as the kick panel. revers using the right foot for the passengers side.

On passenger side, side of transmission over by the fire wall will sit on top of transmission, will have a cable or a elec. harness going to the vss, held on with a 10mm bolt.

Does it do the same thing when in Neutral?

Some of the grime, etc on the engine prior to steam cleaning along with any solvents used may have affected the drive/fan belt. I would suggest you either check tightness of the belt and possibly consider replacing it.

Have the Fuel Pump and Filter Checked out.

DTC - 15 Engine coolant temp sensor error (low temp indicated)
This is an Diagnostic Trouble code using the OB1 which simply means the check engine light blinking in series at certain intervals.But my thinking says that if you are having trouble wuth any sensor , the ECU or PCU computer will read all kinds of things in error. Try replacing the TCS temperature control sensor.Only 96 and up have a OB2 Diagnostic system

Take car to a honda service department. They can give you the code once they visually verify the car's serial number.
