1993 toyota corrola stalls.

I had a hard time starting the car in the morning(cold outside). i have replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, and the distributor itself, cap, and rotor. it will start in the afternoon when it is warmer. when it does start and keeps running, it will run the rest of the day. i took it to a toyota dealership repair, and they told me that the stater looked like it was replaced and the person who did it pulled the wiring harness out and bent it.. they put the wiring harness back to the way it should be. it work great the first couple of days, but today at about 3:45am while going to work it stalled on me on the freeway. i was wandering what you might think the problem is with the car? do you think the air intake sensor could have any part in this? thanks donj

I thing that the main problem turned out to be a bad ignition coil. On '93 Corollas, you can remove the ignition coil without removing the distributor. (You only need to remove the distributor cap and rotor.) you mention that u already replace couple of parts but i suggest to get the original part from Toyota spare part

1993 Toyota camry will not start

Check to see how much spark you have. Spark should jump at least a 3/4" inch gap. If it only jumps an eighth to a quarter inch or less than you have weak spark. If the coil is external replace it if the coil is inside the distributor replace the distributor. I almost guarantee this is a week spark issue.

It just would't start next morning after it rained and froze outside

i find most wet weather hard starting problems can be remedied with a new set of good plug wires. good wires made for the engine, not generic stuff from autozone. they sell moisture displacing spray at parts stores which should be sprayed on before you connect the wires to the plugs and coils or distributor.

HAving difficlty starting car in the morning. Thought it might be the battery but it isn't. When /I turn the key on, car hestitates to start, thought automatic fule injection isn't working. Not sure what...

Have you changed spark plugs lately? Generally the plugs should be changed at 80,000 to 100,000 mile intervals. More often in city driving. Bad plugs will cause hard starting in cold weather. Good Luck.

Hard to start when it's cold outside just replced battery will turn over but want start

Has the car had new spark plugs lately? Usually hard starting in cold weather is caused by too heavy of oil or worn out spark plugs.

1995 toyota coroll turns over but wont start.no spark at plugs, changed cap and rotor

sounds like you need an ignighter which controls spark and it can be found in the distributor under the cap it should have a plug (wire harness) on it.

I have abmw 3 series 1996 parked it last night perfectly ok this morning it wont start the engine turns over very quick as normal could it be because its damp and cold outside what do you suggest?

I would replace Distributor Cap & Rotor; and especially all Ignition Wires (aka: spark plug wires) When it is damp outside, old and possibly cracked wires is the leading cause of engines not starting due to wires arcing (throwing sparks to other parts of the engine) and causes no spark where it is really needed and that is at your spark plugs so the engine will start.

1991 toyota 4runner hard start

Water temp sensor is used to regulate the amount of fuel that is injected when cold. If its faulty it doen't know its cold and does'nt know it needs more fuel. Replace this sensor and it should fix your problem. If your lucky the clip might have just come off they often break their clips at that age.
