I have a 2000 Kia Sephia. that will start and then die. New starter, alternator and battery. Any thoughts?

well if it is cranking its not starter or battery . maybe check to see if fuel pump is working .check fuses. you should be able to hear pump run for a few second . if pump working maybe fuel filter or sensor like throttle position ,air idle sensor. make sure all wires are hooked up on alternator & starter . no vacuum hoses off any where . is check engine light on ?

My 2001 kia sephia will not hold a charge. i have had both the battery and alternator tested at a parts store, and both tested good. what else could be the problem?

You might have a bigger electrical problem. One of your cables might be grounded this way allowing all flow of electricity to go to the chasis of the car, draining your battery. Check E.C.U. with mechanic

Good luck

2000 kia sephia wont hold a charge alternator or battery?

If you have a volt meter turn on the car and read across positive and negative with volt meteryou should get something like 13.8 volts if your getting something like 12.5 alternator is not doing its job. also have battery tested.

LOW BATTERY CHARGE ON NEW BATTERY-2000 kia Sephia

i would take the belt off and then check the idler pulley assembly..it could be worn out..since the belt is off check the alternator pulley for any play also. A loose belt will not help the battery to keep a charge. if everything looks o.k. and you said you have a new battery and belt then it looks like your alternator went bad. Hope this helps.

I would check ignition items or fuel delivery if it just died on you. It wont be the battery unless it was dead and the alternator stop working.
