REMOVAL & INSTALLATION -

Disconnect the wiring harness from the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor.
Remove the fastening bolt for the CKP sensor.
Remove the CKP sensor and the O-ring seal from the engine block. To install:
Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the CKP sensor and the engine bock.
Install the CKP sensor with a new O-ring seal, into the engine block.
Install he fastening bolt for the CKP sensor
Attach the wiring harness to the CKP sensor. Be sure to route the cable correctly Fig. 1: The location of the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) - 3.0L engine

The 'pickup coil' is a general term for a sensor that picks up movement or speed or pulses from a reluctor wheel. It is also used for the Camshaft Position Sensor.

1993 BROUGHAM & 1993-96 FLEETWOOD
Oil Life Indicator
1. Oil life indicator will display CHANGE OIL when oil change is needed, based upon engine oil temperatures and driving patterns. After changing oil, reset
oil life indicator.
2. To reset, turn ignition switch to ON position. Do not start engine. Fully press and release accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. If CHANGE OIL light
comes on and stays on for 5 seconds, it did not reset. Reset system again.
