I looked at acdelco parts catalog, it showed power steering pump with evo component. Part# 36p0275. When I order something online, I'm never sure what I'm going to get till it comes in and I can get a look at it.

Looks like mud ? What type coolant have you added ? Take the radiator cap off an look into it , do you see the same ? Have you ever had the cooling system flushed ? There was a problem with people adding green coolant to GM - Dex-cool ,orange ! Clog's the passages in radiator ,inside the engine , heater cores etc... Pull the oil fill cap on the valve cover an look at the under side of the cap , do you see brown frothy looking goop ? Coolant getting into the oil ! Why it called DexKILL

no reset on relays --relays can be affected by heat and pop open shutting off fuel pump than when cool will allow restart - remove relay and check pins that they are clean --can either buy a new one and install or keep handy in glove box --also recheck pump new dosent mean free from defects --and wiring connections are clean and not damaged and look online for repair assistance lots of repair information available or amazon ,craigslist or ebay for a repair manual for the caddy new ones in store about 25 to 30 but can find one from 5 - 25 online a chilton or haynes also most used book shores sometimes have a number of repair manuals for caddys and last but not least you have the library that have some manuals and sometimes have one for your vehicle Cadillac Fleetwood repair manual service manual online 1990 1991 1992 1993...

when dies check and feel the fuel pump relay if hot --replace with a same number relay from board to test or plug in a new one --and start --or check pump new doesnt mean free from defects it may be drawing excess amps and causing he relay to pop or pump to shut down

try cleaning the inside of the MAF sensor and do the following procedure as well.
Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls at stops and low erratic idle speed and rough idle, it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

vats can be bypassed by locating wires from key lock cylinder under dash. this is common problem with this type of system. you must determine resistence valu of key resister and cut wires ind solder replacement to ends of wires that go to vats module which is seperate from ecm module.

My advice to you if you can afford it it to take your car to a transmission shop, because to me, it sounds like your transmission is going very bad. It is slipping and that is why when you mash the gas, then it works. Best Of Luck.

Hi there, sorry to say I do not think so. If the power steering system is specialised, designed for the car, there is unlikely to be another backup system to substitute for it when it breaks.. If the PAS pump is broken then it is a matter of replacing it. May be bad gas...but probably an ignition module or crank position sensor...you need a mechanical diagnosis...

Hi Cheryl, I'm glad to help! Cheryl, sense we are working with a 1994 there's 3 things you can do. (1) You can try to google it. " 1994 Cadillac Brougham cooling system wiring diagram" NOTE: don't forget to put the engine size in there so you get the correct diagram. (2) You can go old school and see if you can find a manual for your vehicle. (3) You can go to the Library and see if they have your manual or pull it up on the slides.
