Fuel pump - moz-screenshot.jpgThe fuel pump is in the fuel tank.
1) Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery
Remove the fuel filler cap.
2) Relieve the fuel pressure by using a box end wrench on the 6mm service bolt at the fuel rail (on motor) while holding the special banjo bolt with another wrench.
Place a rag over the 6mm service bolt and slowly loosen the bolt one complete turn to release the fuel line pressure.
3) Remove the fuel tank.
Remove the drain bolt and drain the fuel from the tank.
Disconnect the 3P connector in the trunk
Remove the two-way valve cover and the fuel hose protector
Disconnect the hoses.
While supporting the tank, remove the strap bolts and the fuel tank should be free.
4) Disconnect fuel lines and connector from the fuel pump
Remove the fuel pump mounting nuts
5) When installing, torque fuel pump mounting nuts to 4 lb-ft (6 Nm). Torque fuel line bolt to 20 lb-ft (28Nm)

91 isuzu pick up sat for 2 years and now wont start

I\'d try 2 things. One, some, or many, motors and fuel pumps, even electric ones, need to be "primed".
You might try to figure out how to suck the fuel from the tank up to the motor somehow.
I do not necessarily mean using your mouth.
You could also take a rag and an air hose, and GENTLY blow air into the gas tank to "prime" the system.
Another thing is, is there some part of the engine where gasoline could have congealed or turned to gummy deposits preventing the gas flow?
This is why they suggest mowers and generators be run until they run out of gas before storage, to prevent gummy deposits caused by evaporated gas.
Be blessed.

My truck jerks when driving then shuts off when restarting the battery goes dead

it is most likely the fuel pump. seems like it is pumping too much fuel at one time and "hyping up" your engine then not giving it enough fuel, causing it to stall. try replacing the fuel pump, if it continues try testing the alternator at your local autozone, they do so for free.
