My 2001 ford taurus with the standard V6 engine (200,000 miles) has alot of trouble starting... The battery is just 2 months old, and the mass airflow sensor, timing sensor, and starter have been replaced. It usually takes at least two tries to actually start the engine. But this morning (around 40-45 degrees) the car wouldn't start and in fact, wouldn't even sound like it might start.

Check compression on each cylinder and fuel pressure,I dont know if you have the tools, but for that engine whit 200,000 miles,I think the compression is down,at least you got to have 75 of compression on each cylinder.
