I couldn't imagine it would take 2 hours to replace the thermostat in my daughters 2002 Isuzu Axiom. Is it true that you have to take off the intake manifold in order to even find it? Is it better to let the shop do it? Any help is appreciated. Back yard mechanic

do the 2 lamps cluster fail tool Left/right turn?

check fuses first? marked ( turns, blinker/ signals/)?
most cars today have no such thing, (the old skool blinker modules are gone due to magic of BCM computer is just pure software loops)

im in the service manual on like and this chapter is missing(sadly)
under dash some where; guess driver side.

Check the thermostat is operating correctly, the cooling fan is turning etc

lost the operators guide in the glove box,oops
buy one ,then not have to find it every time you need it.

To set the hour on your Axiom clock, just hold down the "Clock" button until the time starts to flash. Then push that same button as many times as necessary to advance the hours to the correct hour (am or pm also). The minutes will be automatically set by the GPS computer from the satellite connection.

Look at the clock and press 'SET' once that's been done press the hour or 'H' button and keep it pressed until the correct hour has come....If you go too far keep going until it comes up again. Do the same with the 'M' (Minute) button

right rear of the engine on the top of intake manifold next to fire wall. long cylinder looking with a connector on top

I just had a garage replace my thermostat on my 2002 Isuzu Axiom. The book calls for 2 hrs labor, no way. iI took the garage more like 5 hrs plus, they ate the additional 3 hrs of labor. Note, the intake manifold must be removed and even then special tools are needed because it is still buried deep down. The garage took pictures ot this one because of how ridiculours Isuzu designed the location.
