My husband 2008 Chrysler 300 has the check engine light that comes on as soon as the car is turned on. Does it means there is a problem with his engine or Does it mean he needs an oil change?

There is something going on outside of normal operation that should be checked out. Your local auto parts store can hook up to your car and read what actual sensors are showing fault states.

The P0123 means Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit High Input.
The P0300 means Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
Clear the code with OBD2 code scanner. If it comes back on, you
still have an issue.

I assume this is the check engine light, it is a picture of an engine and it is yellow. If that is correct please read on, if not let me know.

The information below was complied by me, it explains what causes the check engine light to come on and the process of finding the cause.
When the Check Engine light (or Service Engine Soon or small picture of an engine) is turned on, the systems computer control unit (called the PCM) has sensed a fault in the electronic controls of the engine and/or the emission system. When this happens you will seldom feel the car engine run any different. There are about 200 possible system faults (the gas cap is just one of them) that turn the Check Engine light on, to know what has developed a problem you must have the electronic system tested, this is called an OBD2 fault code test, Kragen/Oriley and Autozone parts stores (USA only) do this testing for free.

change the brake light fuses on ur chrysler 300. also get it checked at a dealer to spot any other issue, if any.
