I just watched the service station replace the rear turn signal bulb of our 2008 Enclave in about 5 minutes for $30! He opened the tail gate door, there were two small squares in the black lighting panel trim that he popped open. Inside each was a screw that he removed. This enabled him to remove the whole lighting panel. He then twisted the bad bulb and removed it and replaced with a new one. He checked that it was working then popped everything back into place added the screws and closed the squares back up. DONE!

I was wondering how much it was going to entail to get this stupid bulb replaced, as I could not see where to get to it. Thanks to you, I now have the confidence that I can do it myself and save $30!

Awesome! Bought two 7443 light bulbs, a spinner handle and 7mm socket (you will need to remove the "screws") for a total of $20 and now I can fix the other one for free if /when it goes out! My husband was truly impressed when it took me only 5 minutes! Thank you for the info!

Peel back the trunk lining to reveal three wing nuts. Remove wing nuts to pull lens cap away from car. To remove bulb socket push on the rectangular button (the release) while pushing on the end of the socket to unlock and spin counter clockwise to release. pull out old bulb and reinstall lens cap.

SOURCE: 2007 ford 500 rear turn signal bulb replacement

This is straight from the owner's manual.

#1 Make sure the headlamp switch is in the OFF position and open the trunk.
#2 Carefully pull the carpet away to expose the backside of the tail lamp assembly.
#3 Remove the nut and washer assemblies, then pull the lamp assembly away from the vehicle.
#4 Remove the bulb socket by rotating it counterclockwise, then pulling it out of the lamp assembly.
#5 Pull the bulb straight from the socket.

Install new bulb(s) in reverse order.
Good luck

2006 pt cruiser on drivers side rear turn signal

The turn signals flash depends on each and every bulb working correctly. When one bulb fails, you will notice a change in the flash frequency, as you describe.

Replace or repair the bulb that is not working, and you should be good to go.
