It's just a speaker. Vehicle has no flasher relay - body control module (computer ) does that function. Suggest you put correct blubs back in .
Turn Signal Lamps
When the turn signal switch is place in either the right or left turn position, the turn/hazard request circuit is pulled low, through a resistor. The body control module (BCM) uses the resistors to determine if the left or right turn signals have been requested. The BCM then supplies an ON-OFF voltage to the turn signal lamps and turn signal indicator on the selected side of the vehicle. The turn signals receive a ground at G101, G401, or G403.

This speaker carries all the dash sounds such as seat belt warning, turn signals, reverse cross traffic, welcome sound, etc. 14 answers · 13 votes: Following. My daughter just told me her 2018 Kia Sportage is doing the same thing. Local ...
Saying this or that is the problem won't work with your vehicle , an most all vehicle's . Given the amount of electronic's (computers C.A.N communication networks etc.. ) The BCM - body control module uses input's from ignition switch signals to determine what mode the vehicle is in . The BCM energizes relay's an sends messages on the serial data network to wake up other modules . The radio is also on the C.A.N network , signals from the BCM could be turning it on , as well as the turn signals , because the BCM functions the turn signals too .
The LT/TRN/SIG and RT/TRN/SIG fuses in the I/P fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to the body control module (BCM). When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, a signal is sent to the BCM to illuminate the desired turn signal lamps. The BCM has an internal flasher that sends an ON-OFF voltage signal to either the left or right turn signals and their instrument panel cluster (IPC) indicator. When the hazard switch is pressed, a separate ground signal is sent to the BCM to activate and flash all turn signal lamps including both IPC turn indicators. The front and rear turn signals are grounded at G401. How to Diagnose Controller Area Network CAN
This is something best left to a qualified repair that has the proper tools to diagnose it .
Probably the driver door speaker is going out (yes the "click" noise is "played" through the speaker). Seems common on these cars and was my problem. Turn all your music to that one speaker using the radio controls and see if it plays music. All the chimes and blinker noises come out of that speaker.
when the radio is OFF sound comes out of the rear speakers when the blinkers are used ! There isn't a turn signal flasher on your vehicle ,( like most all newer vehicles ) It's done electroniclly by a control module . In the case of your vehicle , the BCM - body control module . It doesn't matter if the radio is off . All the Audible warnings come out of the radio speakers . Headlamps left on , key in ignition etc... You have no idea of the complexity of your vehicle , it's a rolling computer , with a serial data network for the modules to talk to each other , share info.
When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, a ground signal is completed from the turn signal switch to the BCM. When the hazard flasher switch is activated, a ground signal is completed from the turn signal/hazard switch to the BCM. The BCM then sends an ON-OFF voltage signal through the fuses to the appropriate turn signal and side repeater (export only) lamps or to all of the turn signal fuses for hazard operation.
Really don't think you have electrical short . Computer glitch maybe , radio problem . How ever , these system's are not for the untrained to mess with . Your best bet , the GMC dealer !
on all modern gm vehicles , the blinker noise and dining noise goes through the left frt speaker so if you speakers arent workin thats your problem call a dealer with your vin
The simple solution could be the turn signal flasher (which are generally located under the dashboard). Very inexpensive. But you say that smoke was coming out of the turn signal arm. In that case it could be shorted out. To replace the turn signal arm assembly is pretty expensive. Maybe around $200.00 for parts and labor at a shop. Good Luck!
sounds like your electronic flasher unit maybe stuck causing the noise. they are generally located under the dash on driver side just below the instrument cluster.
