I have a 2003 Ford Excursion Limited: I had the passenger side rear seat in the down position, which requires the bottom part of the seat to be lifted up against that back side of the front passenger side seat. Then the back portion of the rear passenger side seat is rotated flat for floor position, with the back of the rear passenger seat now facing the ceiling. When I try to reposition the rear seat back to it's upright position, it will not return. I use the exact same routine that I have been using for years, as does the Driver side rear seat ( that is two passengers in width ) however the rear passenger side ( one passenger in width ) will not return upwards to the upright position. PLEASE HELP

I just encountered this problem with my 2000 Ford Excursion. After fighting with it for several hours I realized that the section of the seat that is facing up towards the roof of the vehicle was applying pressure to the back of the seat that was facing down and preventing the back of the seat from coming up when I pulled the lever. So, the next time I pushed the seat up that is facing the roof while I pulled the lever and this resovled my problem.

On my 2016 Ford Escape the rear passenger seat folded down and would not hold back up the problem was that the seat belt buckle pivoted down below the level of the seat when I try to raise the back of the sheet the seat belt buckle would prevent it it ended up crushing the plastic on the seat belt buckle preventing it from working the hold the seat belt I was able to repair the seat belt buckle with a screwdriver regular Style and a cigarette lighter the soft in the plastic back up so it would stay in position

2nd row, passenger side seat will not slide forward after you tilt the seatback forward to allow for rear entry. Is there something that is locked or anything I should be looking at to fix this?

There is a little green plastic clip that is attached to the cable and pull lever, if you trace from the pull lever and cable to mechanical lever then to bottom of the frame it is on the bottom half of the seat, you will see it once you flip up the seat bottom over , on the black metal frame is where the clip is at, towards the bottom and facing the other seat frame that your not flipped up. well anyways the green clip is probably broken, or the cable came undo( which I doubt) the clip is a weak point in the seat mechanism , you wont be able to find it a retail automotive stores, dealer item only , that's if they even carry it anymore, or you might try a junk yard and look around for another excursion seat or a f250 or super duty and use that one. I've heard that you might be able to use the American door lock clips plastic hardware, they are suppose to look alike, but ford wont tell you that. The kit is at AutoBodyToolmart .com Part # 9914 for about $26.99 , that's what I heard. Good Luck !!!

How do you remove the rear seat out of a 2001 Ford Excursion

If you are talking about the third row seat, the first step is to fold the seat down. Pull the lever behind the passenger side of the third row seat and fold the seat down. Then, from the cargo area, raise the bar located directly behind the third row seat and lift the seat forward. The seat should now be detached from the car and can be removed. When you reinstall the seat, be sure to secure the seat properly so passengers do not get injured in a sudden vehicle maneuver. This should help you to fix your problem. 2005 ford excursion cam sensor location I need to change the cam sensor and the crank sensors on my excursion and i do not know where they are located

On my 02 Excursion with the 7.3L Diesel, the Cam Position Sensor is located at the front bottom of the engine on the passengers side. There is one electrical pigtail plug that is attached and one bolt holds the sensor in position. It may be located in a similar location on your 05 Ex. I do not know where the crank sensor is located. I hope this helps.

Remove both headlights for 2003 Ford Excursion

Yeah, this is a bummer especially on the the left side... You can loosen the batt hold-downs and leave the batteries connected, giving you a little more room to work. You may want to keep clear of the positive terminals... Either that or submit to poor engineering and pull the batts... Oh well.. Good luck on this..
