My 2004 chevy malibu classic 4 cyl wont start its

There are four things required for an engine to run: air, fuel, compression and properly timed spark. If you have fuel and timed spark, the only two variables are air and compression. Air is not the likely problem, and compression should be good unless you blew a head gasket or the rings in all four cylinders. How did you determine that you have fuel and spark? Those are the two most likely problem areas.

The spark plug gap for this application is 0.60 Although, the spark plugs are Iridium plugs and are pre set by the manufacuter and should not be tampered with due to damaging the diode on the plug. The correct application for this vehicle should be AC DELC0 IRRIDIUM SPARK PLUGS.

My 2005 chevy malibu classic will not start i have everything checked out also my theft system light is on constantly

all gm vehicles from 97-2005 have a theft system called the passlock system. (how to deactivate system on chevy malibu) turn key on engine off, let it stay on for at least 10 minutes, then turn ignition off, take out key from ignition switch. after 1 minute start the car. you can also go to tubesound.com to disable system for good. --tubesound.com/passlocksystem. ( just type in the problem when page comes up ). have a good day!! vehicle will not start with system blinking. it thinks its being stolen.
