does it have the 4 cylinder engine? if yes you could have broken timing belt witch opens and closes intake and exhaust valves. same for V6 engines.the belt must be replaced and engine crank and cam shafts retimed with new belt istallation. one to tell is when cranking the engine turns over kinda fast.
its probably the ignition module in the distributor,can be intermittent,or stop when hot,sometimes module is intergrated into distributor so it may come as 1 unit,fairly common wont fix itself

As you are finding out ....this is how you kill a car. You need fuel, spark, compression, and air to run an engine. Look for spark and fuel items to be working. A computer controls much of the spark part. They canbe sensitve electrically. If you are cranking ..starter sounds ok. Alt. will act up after you get started. concentrate on spark and spark control. Fuel and fuel control. This is what you need to start.
