Re: My speedometer light is not working on my 2000...
The bulb is most likely blown you will have to take the instrument panel out to replace it unless the speedometer comes out separately......hope this helps.....cheers

You either have an elecrical problem or your you might have a fuse blown beacuse the signal and the head light it self work off of two seperate fuses witch means if the head light fuse is blown them the signal will still work. So what I would do first is I would check the fuses and the best way to check the fuses is to have a check light.
If trans is still shifting its most likely a blown cluster fuse or bad cluster.If you have a check engine light & trans don't shift most likely blown trans fuse or trans vss (speedo) harness at right drive axle broken puple with white stripe wire or light green wire with black stripe
Sounds like the car was running on just the battery. Recharge the battery with a plug-in battery charger, then see what happened to the charging circuit--alternator, drive belt, blown fuse--loose wire. This should have set the check engine light.
HI THERE I TAKE IT THE BULBS HAVE GONE BEHIND YOUR DASH FIRSTLY MAKE SURE THE REST OF THE DASH LIGHTS ARE OK LIKE HEATER/SWITCHES ETC IF THEY ARE OK THEN WE CAN RULE OUT FUSES CAUSE THEY ARE NORMALLY ON SAME FUSE.
TO STRIP DASH YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE TORX OR PHILLIPS SCREWS AT COVER OF SPEEDOMETER YOU CAN NOW REMOVE COVER NOW YOU WILL SEE PHILLIPS OR TORX SCREWS HOLDING IN SPEEDOMETER REMOVE SCREWS AND MOVE SPEEDOMETER ONCE YOU HAVE DONE THIS DISCONNECT PLUG AT BACK OF SPEEDO YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET TO BULBS ONCE YOU HAVE DONE THIS REPLACE BLOWN BULBS AND REBUILD BACK UP IF THIS HELPS YOU PLEASE RATE IT THANX.
