Mercedes p1519 trouble code

These code cover a few different areas. You might need to get a Good mechanic to look at the vehicle.
p1519 - Intake Manifold Runner Control (Stuck Closed). This will affect your Fuel air mixture and might explain the high revs. This is a valve controlling fuel/air flow to give an even flow at all engine speeds.
Codes p0171 and p0174 both refer to the fuel mixture being too weak.
The p0741 is on the Transmission. There is an issue with the torque converter electronics.

p1519 - Intake Manifold Runner Control (Stuck Closed).
p0171 - System too lean, bank 1.
p0174 - System too lean, bank 2.
p0741 - Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance/Stuck Off.

P1519 Adjustable camshaft timing solenoid (logic chain).
The K40 Relay can cause this code. Ran across several that had cold solder joints in them. Pop them open and re-solder the suspect joint(s) and you're good to go.

P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)

• P1519 is what's causing the P0420. If the Variable Induction Control Actuator is stuck closed, it would cause a rich condition which will burn up the catalytic converters. get it checked asap.

P0151 O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

P1519 Idle Air Control Valve Circuit Failure

have you checked coils,or coil fuse,possible bad maf sensor

Thermostat Range/Performance

Trouble Code Conditions: DTC P0107, P0108, P0112, P0113, P0116-118, P0335, P0336, P0300-P0306, P0401, P0505, P1106-P1108, P1259 and P1519, engine running at road load for 10 minutes, and the PCM detected the ECT sensor input did not reach the correct closed loop value. Note: It is possible for this code to set if the engine is left running while the hood is open for an extended period in a warm climate.

Possible Causes:


Inspect for low coolant level or for an incorrect coolant mixtureCheck the operation of the thermostat (it may be stuck open)TSB 01-064 (9/11/01) contains a repair procedure for this code

This means it is detecting a pressure leak. Actually will be a vacuum leak. This should be a diy as the cause is usually old rubber vacuum hoses that are cracked from age or heat. You can find out which just by pinching the hoses around theair in take. These will be the small ones. When bad they will be hard and crack or even crumble apart. Just remove and replace. I think the code will clear after a drive cycle or can be cleared by anyobd2 reader. This can be diy or non dealer so isn't an expensive repair
