code 01314 refers to engine control module (ECM) cruise control system---defective===causes--- ECM
replace the ECM with a known operational unit that is correct for your vehicle
ECM- Engine control module. It is under the hood, by the engine. Drivers side. How do you know to replace it? they have to be programmed when replaced. New or used. Dealer only reprogramming.
One relay carrier is placed inside car - the fuse box & relay plate - fascia 2.
The electronic box - Engine Control Module (ECM) is placed under hood in the left corner of engine bay near windscreen. There are also some main relays.
ECM (Engine Control Module) is the old name to the new PCM (Powertrain Control Module) denomination; this unit performs many functions on your
car. The module accepts information from various engine sensors and
computes the required fuel flow rate necessary to maintain the correct
amount of air/fuel ratio throughout the entire engine operational range.
Based
on the information that is received and programmed into the PCM's
memory, the PCM generates output signals to control relays, actuators
and solenoids.
The module is mounted under the hood on the firewall. On 493-94 models,
it is mounted low on the firewall, near the left-hand fender (drivers
side). On 495-99 models, it is mounted high on the firewall offset to
the right-hand side of center.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Disengage the wiring harness connector from the PCM by loosening
the connector retaining bolt, then pulling the connector from the
module.
Remove the two nuts and the PCM cover.
Remove the PCM from the bracket by pulling the unit outward.
To install:
Install the PCM in the mounting bracket.
Install the PCM cover and tighten the two nuts.
Attach the wiring harness connector to the module, then tighten
the connector retaining bolt.
There is a Technical Service Bulletin (NTB04-037a) for this code to check the Engine Control Module (ECM) part number and if the ECM part number is listed in the TSB, it requres the dealer to reprogram the ECM.
If the ECM part # is not listed, the TSB does not apply and then the problem is likely a defective Air/Fuel (A/F) Sensor.
