Number 1 is on the drivers side on the front. The cylinders are arranged 1-3-5-7 down the drivers side and 2-4-6-8 down the passengers side. The firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2.

it all depends on if you have a v6 or a v8 under the hood... v6-1,6,5,4,3,2 with number one at the front right engine cylinder and number two on the left front engine cylinder, number one on the distributor cap should be at 9 o' clock when looking at the engine from the front... v8-1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2 also number 1 cylinder at the engine's front driver's side, with number 2 cylinder on the passenger side most front cylinder, number one on the distributor cap should be at 7 o' clock when looking at the front of the engine... also both distributor shafts run clockwise, so should your firing order... or ya bang...
